I recently stumbled upon an e-bay listing for an old school atari console and some games and saw that my most hated video game was in the auction.
Needless to say, I did not bid on it. lol
Anyways for me my:
Most Hated - Q-bert I hated the angle of the screen, I was always jumping off of the pyramid.
Most Loved - Medievil Series (yes it’s spelled right) Although the first one is still my favorite of the two, considering I never finished the second one. More bad angles and jumping problems. Oh well… Anyways, what’s not to love about a recently dead hero with only one eye who was resurrected to fight evil?
Tetris never gets old. NEVER! I even have it as my ring tone :p. DDR Max 2 and Super Mario Bros. also own.
On the other hand, I don’t like Star Wars Racer very much… It gets boring after a while and in my opinion, I don’t think the effects are that great… ::sigh:: I never liked many racing games to begin with, though
My ALL TIME FAVORITE GAME would have to be Final FantasyVII. FFVII has sooo many mini games that you can play and also raising chocobos! its also 3 disks long, so it lasts a long time. The story line is also great. I’ve beaten it like 40 times. It never gets old.
Baldurs gate 2: Shadows of Amn was also a great game
My most hated video game would have to be any baseball game…they are just so boring to play. (except for the VERY old ones, cuz it’s fun to laugh at the blocky graphics)
For future reference: As soon as the FIRST video game comes out, that will be my new favorite game
Most Loved - Call of Duty, Battlefield Vietnam- they never get old when you play them online plus they have great graphics, and Tom Clancy’s: Ghost Recon and The Sims series which are classics.
Most Hated - Choas Island: Jurassic Park - it got boring after the first level and had pointless missions that took to long to complete.
fav-any FF game\starcraft\any kirby (kirby just roxx)\ddr (how i survived without it before i don’t know)
dislike-any sports game (just boring esp for replay)
Love: TOCA Pro Race Driver 2. All the different cars, all the different classes…it’s a true test of a driver’s ability to jump from a supertruck to a little bitty Formula Ford.
Hate: TOCA Pro Race Driver 2. I can’t get past the Mustang Challenge 2000/Coast to Coast Cup. It just can’t be done without godlike abilities (which I don’t have!)
I absolutely hated Atari’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And yes, it was as bad as it sounds… The whole game consisted of you (a woman character) running from Leatherface and his chainsaw… I don’t know anyone who got past the 3rd level…
I don’t know if I have a most loved game now, but a few I was hooked on in the past are Super Breakout and Arkanoid and Tetris and Gauntlet, and I’m not even going to get into the computer games I loved too much.
I think my favorite game would have to be Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. It was a free game based on RtCW that they released when they weren’t moving fast enough to get it done and in the stores… so they just threw it out on the web for free and it got a HUGE gathering. While it wasn’t the most realistic army game, I think it was the most fun. It’s one of the nicest lanning games I’ve come across.
As for a least favorite, this took me a while. I couldn’t think of one… then I tried to think of the game that was installed for the least ammount of time on my computer. I finally remembered Worms 3D. When I saw this game was getting released, I thought it was going to be awesome because I was such a huge fan of all the other 2d Worms games. Much to my disappointment, it sucked. Greatly. It was SO HARD to do ANYTHING in the game… I barely made it through the tutorial… and made it through a match without killing ANYONE. So I uninstalled the game and put it in the junk pile
HATED-FFX-2, It butchered the FF series, and unsurprisingly it was the first direct sequel. They tried to return to the live action system that worked so well in FFVII and many others, but it was weak in comparison. The plot was not on the FF lvl, and the gameplay wasnt either(dress spheres?!? wtf!?!) It was nowhere near the lvl of game that we’ve come to expect from SquareEnix. Also, Enter the Matrix, Kingdom Hearts, Zelda:Wind Walker(or whatever, the GC one) and Firewarrior were horrible games.
LOVED-Goldeneye, the game that ushered in the era of FPS to the consoles. It brought about games like Perfect Dark, Red Faction, and Halo(all of which are amazing), and is possibly the best multiplayer game ever(Halo, Starcraft, and WarcraftIII give it a good run for the money). I also love FF tactics, FFX, Xenosaga, WarcraftIII, Starcraft, Zelda:Ocarina of Time, Diablo(series), Halo, and Perfect Dark.
I agree with Lil’ Lavery, the FF series got a bit over the top. I don’t play it, but even so I get ticked with it…They made too many, and it just got old. No matter how many they made, it got old. I heard about it everywhere, and I saw it all over the place, and wondered to myself, ‘when will it stop?’
My brother even got tired of it. He’s the VG freak of the family, lol.
This is just my opinion.

Most Loved- For a while I wasted a LOT of time on mechwarrior but it ended up getting old so its not really my most loved any more. What I have to pick as my most loved would probably have to be… Knights of the Old Republic. It had a good Star Wars feel, but it wasent compleatly drenched in it like other games that take place during the movie time peroid. It also had some great game play. Honestly better than being a wookie scout stranded on tattoine like in some other SW RPG.
Most Hated-That would probably have to be Banjo and Kazooie. I thought the game was o.k., but that game just annoyed the heck out of me with the music, the characters, the goals, basically the whole thing. To this day I get angry when I see a bear carrying around a red bird in a back pack.
FFX
KOTOR
Halo
Diablo 2
Counter Strike (1.5)
Kingdom Hearts
Onimusha Series
Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time & A Link to the Past
Galaga (Ben, you have aweomse taste. Best old school game, ever.)
Starcraft
Dance Dance Revolution <- if you can really call it a video game. or a dancing game, for that matter. Should be called Step Step Revolution, imo. :]
Oh yeah, forgot to say another HATED-pump it up, a rip-off of DDR, and nowhere near as fun.
On the FF topic. Alot of them are really good games, but the the recent ones have gone downhill. FFX was great, but FFIX, FFX-2,and FFTactics Advanced havnt even come close. I havnt gotten a chance to play FFXI yet(need to hook up LAN in basement so I can get my PS2 online), and since its a MMORPG I think it fits in a different category anyway. The one thing I dont get, if its a FINAL fantasy, why are there so many of them(and how can you make a direct sequel to FFX?)? But otherwise it would just be fantasy, which would just sound stupid, so Ill stop questioning it…
