I’d be surprised if I get to sit down and watch any regionals this year, purely because it’s my last semester of college… however, the New York Tech Valley regional falls on my spring break week this year, so I plan on going to volunteer at that event.
Tbh looking forward to see how 581, 1351, 604 and a few others bring the fight to 1678. I think we’llLimelight, an integrated vision coprocessor see a great set of finals.
Also looking forward to seeing if 1561 can repeat their 2023 success.
While I’m likely to be checking out some of these after the fact (i.e., by watching the match videos on Blue Alliance), there’s pretty much no chance I’ll be watching the livestreams. Like most folks in districts, I’ll either be at a district event or be glued to the livestream for the district events that we’re not going to. It’s a matter of paying close attention to potential competitors/alliance partners and keeping track of district standings. If we make it to Worlds, then the whole team will be looking back at a number of these regionals to see who the big power teams are this year and to scout out our chances.
Same. This event is bound to be interesting because it’s the first time in event history (first year was 99’) that 254 hasn’t been a competitor. It’s going to be a really fun and interesting event, and I can’t wait to participate.
Im suprised the new East Bay Regional hasn’t been mentioned here. Lots of potential fire power including 254, 581, 649, 972, and 4255. All of which were high performers in the 2023 season.
Even without the typical high tide/citrus combo at hueneme, I feel like the abundant amount of above average teams is going to make it extremely interesting (973, 3512, 5199, 6036, 7157, I could name easily at least 5 more). Playoffs consisting of several great alliances instead of one “powerhouse” like was seen for the last 2 years there. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think it’ll be a fun one
I didnt check on PH so I didn’t realize how stacked Hueneme was, these playoffs are definitely gonna be a lot closer than previous years. However I humbly request for sake of students life spans that we do not have do 5 finals matches.
If we’re still talking Cali, San Diego is looking to be pretty exciting. 359, 973, 1538, 3255, 3647, 4270, 4738, 6995, and 9084 (as well as 3128 I like to think) are all up there for serious playoff contenders, and there’s a bunch of others with great chances as well.
Even though S.C. is now in districts, I still like to follow some of the teams I used to see in person which mostly includes watching Smoky Mountains and Rocket City Regionals.
I’ll be watching Greater Pittsburgh. A lot of top teams from NY and WOW like 340, 695, 1787, 2252, 2614, and 3015. Plus, there are a ton of very good mid level teams. Statbotics predicts GPR as the 3rd highest mean EPA regional this year. I expect some crazy high scoring alliances at this week 1 event.
