With the holidays rapidly approaching, what’s on everyone’s wish lists for the 2025 season?
I’ll start: 3D printed MK4i enclosures. We got a bunch of dirt and grime in our modules last year, so I’m hoping my team can get enclosures printed for them.

week 3 and week 6 comps turning into week 9 and week 12 comps…
more students that enjoy machining/manufacturing (I thought it was fun, but that doesn’t seem to be a popular opinion), even if we had more tools, we wouldn’t have enough dedicated machinists to make it worth it. Also, machinists that become designers are better IMO than just regular designers, as they know our shop’s capabilities firsthand, and know how much of a pain certain things are to make.
Full-size permanent practice field would be nice too…

I would also like a full-size practice field. I might petition the school board for a cool $37k (they probably have that sitting in a corner collecting dust, right?). Maybe we could host off-season comps.

Team 987 is hoping Santa returns our shop/field/tech rooms/fabrication machines to us before kick off since we have had no access to them since the start of this summer! Our school is in the middle of a huge rehabilitation and progress has been slow. They are cutting our access for this season way too close. What a mess…
Mr. Musk is known for being a hands-on monitor of everything he funds. Not saying that’s a bad thing; just challenging for folks who work on those things.
