What type of Gearage does your robot have?

For an explanation on Gearages, it is the apparatus that handles the gears during the game.

-Floor pickup means it can grab gears from the field
-Passive intake means that the apparatus does not have an actuating device to accept gears from loading station.
-Active intake means that the apparatus has an actuating device to accept gears
-Passive delivery means that the apparatus does not offload the gear onto the spring
-Active delivery means that the apparatus offloads the gear onto the spring

I was just about to post a poll until I saw yours! 701 has an active floor pick up with active delivery. Not suprised that the majority polled has passive intake and passive delivery, seeing how a lot of reveals have this feature.

We are VERY happy with our gear mechanism, not just with its quick effectiveness, but also in its simplicity, reliability, and aesthetics. We’re quite relieved knowing that in the event of gears falling to the floor, we have the ability to snag any strays.

When our reveal is released in a couple weeks, you’ll get to see it in action!

I voted “Active floor pickup; active delivery”, though it would be more accurate to say “Active floor pickup; passive intake; active delivery”. We have a wide funnel (intake) that goes into our active gear release mechanism, and we also have a pickup mechanism that puts the gear into the releaser.

For week one we will be passive loading, passive hang. However, we may have a floor intake on our 'bot by our second competition in week three, allowing us to also actively hang gears.

We will certainly have passive intake and active/passive delivery, so I checked that. Active floor pickup is still a possibility (we left room for it, not sure if we’ll have time).

We did a pneumatic floor claw that lifts up and releases the gear on the peg. I checked the active floor intake, passive scoring because we don’t actually push the gear out when placing it, just stick it on.

This is definitely what I would consider “active scoring” - this means your robot can place the peg on its own without the PILOT being present at all. “passive scoring” means waiting for the PILOT to fish the gear out of the robot.

We have essentially the same mechanism on 228 - a cute little pinch claw. It works okay.

I am a bit surprised by all the active floor pickup answers when they have been rare in reveal videos.
