What's the best shooting angle for a frisbee?

Please help! I’ve been looking up angles up while the build team’s been testing, but we can’t get the just right angle. It would be amazing if someone tell us.

Well, it partly depends on the distance your shooting and the rpm of your shooting wheel.

68.9348532 degrees when shooting from 10 feet 8 3/4 inches give or take a 1000th of an inch. God I hope the field is built to spec.

We got the best distance at 20-25 degrees.

With a normal ballistic type projectile, the longest range at a given muzzle velocity would be at 45 degrees. But a frisbee is anything but ballistic. After a little trial and error, we also found that a 20 to 25 degree angle worked best.

The correct answer is that you need to try each angle and see for yourself. That means that you should take about 10 shots or more from each angle starting at 0° and going to about 45°. Record how each frisbee flew on a piece of paper and then use that data to decide for yourself, given your exact shooter configuration, what is best.

This is called the experimental method. It is a major part of science and engineering and is good to learn. Good luck.
