What's the weight limit on your scale?

So I have seen a bunch of Scales made of wood and it makes me wonder, what’s the weight limit on those scales? Considering in the best case scenario 3 robots will be hanging on each side they should hold somewhere 720- 900 lbs.

We made ours out of steel and have tested it with ~600 lbs of mentor weight on each climb bar and 110 lbs of student weight on each end of the arm. So if I remember to carry the one and divide by zero… 600+600+110+110= 1420lbs
Almost 3/4 of a ton ain’t too bad. heck, we got 520 lbs to spare!

Really proud of the metal Fab team, See picture, They’re pretty proud too.

That is such a great picture

We are using a pull up bar in the school gym which can presumably hold a lot of weight. The dimensions are almost exact (it’s 1.5 inches taller but the radius is the same)

We built ours to the wooden plans. Your steel one looks good. It almost makes me wish we had done that.

It took 6 people to move it from the metal shop to the field, 4 to lift and the other 2 to keep the base from swinging.
