When I was searching for some hawaiian bling in honor of this thread I came across this. Sooo… what’s your hawaiian name??
Mine is Kini
Oh, and another thing, if it can’t find your name, try this site to search for a better translation… if you feel like scrolling through lots of names, that is.
“elina”
that sounds like a pretty name
“Keleko”
Perhaps this should be in the Chit-Chat forum, though?
Maheli
Meh - it’s ok. I like my original name better though…(Maher)
Mine’s Mikala, which sounds really pretty, but to be perfectly honest, I’d much rather be called Michizelle.
yes you are right… this may sound stupid, but how can i move this thread to chit-chat? or does a moderator have to do it?
to keep on topic, i found my middle name: Elizabeth –> Elikapeka
Kini Elikapeka … sounds kindof wierd
I am actually 1/4 Hawaiian with my grandmaw being from the island of Molokai.
Anyways, my Hawaiian name is Kawika :]
Heiki. Hmmm… not much better than what I have… but at least people wouldn’t have reason to say “Heidi Heidi Ho” to me anymore…
Heidi… er… Heiki

“Hawaiian bling” …thats possibly the funniest thing i’ve heard all week…
Mine is Aalona
My first name is Kaile
My middle name is hawai’ian to begin with, so no translation is needed (unless you want to know what it is in English): Kuokoa
My brother (Wetzel) will probably also post to this…cuase his middle name is also hawai’ian. Our parents gave us hawai’ian middle names because we were both born in Honolulu.
My real first name of “Jason” translates to “Lakona”, while “Jay” translates to “Kei”.
Thanks Jaine, now I have something to replace (temporarily) “Teams’ MacGyver” with.

thats a good idea … think i will put mine in my custom user title too…
I think we should add an element of competition to this… who has the most amount of letters in their Hawaiian first name?
So far the longest is 8 letters, and that goes to Brad Cahn —> Palakale
mine has only 4 …
