For those at home, it appears the streams aren’t showing opening ceremonies? Based on social media it has started, including a message from the president, but both streams are just showing the FoC logo. Am I missing something?

Is the audio there as bad as it is on the stream?
From what I’ve seen, the audio issues are all in the videos and animations. The live footage has pretty clear sound.

I can confirm that the videos and animations sounded just as bad in person as they did on the stream. >_<
Yeah, the sound was cringe worthy. I felt bad for the teams that prepared videos. The message was swamped by audio distortion worthy of Alexander Graham Bell’s early models.
