Where are we going Wisconsin?

With Wisconsin seemingly going to districts next year, are Wisconsin teams favoring out of state regionals? Are out of state teams coming into Wisconsin to play for their last chance in Wisconsin? With the first and last Phantom Lakes regional are any teams coming just to play for the chance of being the only teams to win the regional? Are there any other regionals that only lasted one year?

Duluth and Lacrosse. We are on the Western edge of the state and these make sense logistically.

The Georgia Southern Classic Regional was only run for a single year (2015) before the PCH district became a thing

This thread was started to try to help name it and a criteria they listed was to not call it anything related to geography incase it had to move in subsequent years. I guess they realized it was a one off and no longer cared lol

Texas had a regional called the Lone Star North Regional. It was only there for 2017. They also had a Lone Star South Regional, which was only there for 2018 before Texas switched to districts.

Cursory glance - Looks like less Wisconsin Teams going to Duluth this year than last year. Same for Central Illinois and Midwest. 1 more team going to Iowa this year than last. I don’t think there were other events that had significant numbers of Wisconsin teams last year, but I could certainly be missing a couple.

This doesn’t account for any waitlist teams at any of those events though.

Headed up to Phantom lakes, it’s a little less than 2 hours away and plays nice with scheduling our other out of state comp (just the way it worked out) in St. Louis.

Just were not going to do CIR and Midwest back to back on the second half of the season.
