Where does your team go from here?

Now that the official season if over with, where does your team go from here? What do you or what does your team do after Nationals?

IRI all the way!!

FUNDRAISE!!

Sweet Repeat, Kettering… (I won’t be there, I’ll be in college by that time :frowning: )

And I’m trying to start a team at my college!

Fundraising.
Site miantance.
Animation training is needed. Perhaps with Sparx and the other Rochester teams.
And we need to make a recruting video for next year. Alot of people don’t know about the X-Cats or FIRST at Xerox and Wilson and maybe they’d join if they did.

Inventor training, fundraising, perhaps Grand Challenge, and making a good drive system (2 wheels 2 castors doesn’t cut it)

Hey lookin for some post season action, stop on by the PA robot challenge on may 10th. this is our 6th running of the challenge and it promises to be the best. for more information and registration visit our site www.tahsroboticsteam.org good luck and let us know of any other mini regionals also.

 Definately, I can’t wait , see ya there

Some of the things we’ve talked about doing besides IRI are possibly working on a crab drive system. Some of us have been talking about moving beyond the tank drive. However, nothing has been officially planned yet because we turn our team applications in for next year soon…

Hmm…
~Recruiting
~Lego League
~EDUbot Summer Camps (Team 22 had some info on this)
~Training new drivers for Sweet Repeat
~Sweet Repeat (My team’s hosting this…Rochester Hills, MI)
~Programming work
~Fundraising…lots of it
~Web work
~Possibly IRI! <-- Me really wants to go! :stuck_out_tongue:

We built a stacker but it put us overweight. We’re gonna put that on the robot & finally get to try it out. Fundraising, recruiting, driver training, machine shop training, the website hasn’t been updated since fall, maybe some off-season comps if we can find something near us.

Well I don’t know what my robotics club is doing but here is what I am doing over my summer and easter vacation:
Build symmet
Build a Beamsolar rollar
Finish building my robotic head and maybe rebuild it
Build a Beam Bicore
Build a Beam walker
And if I actually l know enough about electronics after doing all of the above:
Build a larger version of the Beam Walker
And oo yeah fundraising.

Our season never really ends…

  • We’ll continue our demos (we average at least 1 per week… 50+ per year).
  • Rally in the Valley in NH
  • Mayhem in Tyngsboro
  • Battlecry@ WPI!! (www.wpi.edu/+battlecry should be updated soon with details)
  • River Rage
  • probably at least 2 or 3 other off season competition (both in new england and hopefully some others)

Our next demo is scheduled for this Wednesday… for any accepted students visiting campus we’ll be at the activities fair in Harrington so stop by and visit and sign up for the team’s mailing list so you can get involved asap! Our first off-season competition will be on May 10th.

Yay! The season never ends

We’re heading to the PARC on May 10th. My favorite off-season competition. That will also be my last competition that I participate in as part of a team. After that, I’m a FIRST student no more…

Like cliff said we will be moving on to PARC and a ton of other minis plus working with our new drive. plus maybe work on a gear box for the chipps.
