Where's the Question of the Week??

I remember back in the old forums when Andy Grady used to do the question of the week. Will it ever return, or has it met it’s demise because of the new setup of the forums?

I’d really like to see it’s return.

so you’re volunteering, eh?

the last question of the week had a resignation paragraph at the bottom, as well –

I don’t know about taking over. I’d be glad to participate, but my questions of the week wouldn’t be all that exciting.

I don’t know if it’s my place or not, but oh well…

I’d like to nominate Ken Leung to fill Andy Grady’s shoes.

Ken is always in tune with what is going on, and keeps an open mind. I think that he would do a great job.

Any other nominations?

Andy B.

To be honest… I am actually tempted to do the “question of the week”…

But I am also thinking of two other people who will fit quite well for the job, Matt Leese and Jessica Boucher.

Maybe it doesn’t have to be a one-person job

And of course no one person can think of the good question every week. I think whomever end up doing the question of the week should take in suggestions from the people.

On the other hand… being the question of the week dude will allow me practices in posting short messages.

I suppose we could make a separate forum (only certain people can start threads) and have a Poll of the Week type thing

There’d be a poll, and then any discussion follows in that thread…

a couple things to think about:

a) do we need a separate forum for the question of the week
2) do we need to restrict it to certain (veteran) people, in order to keep it from turning into the question of the moment, rather than question of the week

ME? Ken, youre nuts. Dont nominate me. I dont want to do it alone, I’d come up with some weeeird questions. But, ever since the time he almost used the question “If you were writing the Question of the Week, what would your question be?”, Ive had a couple possible questions in my head.

So go for it, Ken, Im sure Matt will be ok with it too, and I’d be more than happy to help you out if need be.

After talking to Andy Grady and taking a crash course about the “QUESTION OF THE WEEK!!!”, I believe I am ready to give it a try…

So, from now on, every Sunday, just head into the Rumor Mill and look for “QUESTION OF THE WEEK!!!”, and have fun with the question. It will be open-ended questions with a lot of room for discussion. Don’t be afraid to express your opinion, and maybe we can get through this off season period with much more exciting conversations in this place!!!

I am open to suggestion of any questions you and your team members want as the “QUESTION OF THE WEEK!!!”… So e-mail me at [email protected] and offer everything you got.
