Five teams from AZ all decided to pitch in together to rent a truck to bring all of our supplies, but there was one problem, we didn’t have anyone able to drive the truck. So we called in a favor from one of friends and long-time supporter of FIRST, WALL-E, and he said, “YES!” We’ll update this thread over the next few days with updates of his road trip to Houston.

Update 1: The truck has arrived!
WALL-E inspected all of the tires…
checked all of the mirrors…
and adjusted the seat.
Everything looks good, now we’re just waiting for the teams to arrive!

Update 3: The truck is all packed, so WALL-E decided to get some practice driving the truck before his big trip tomorrow.

Hope to get him approved to actually come down to competitions in the future, and we may have given him face detection since then to turn his head towards people to greet them.

Update: WALL-E has been detained and fined by Arizona State Troopers for doing 120 down I-10.
When asked for comment, he only responded with “Champs or bust!”

Update 4: WALL-E’s been driving since 6 AM this morning. He’s making great progress and just passed Wilcox, AZ on the I-10 E!
