Who has successfully THROWN ringers on to the rack yet?

If by “consistently” you mean more than a single fluke, I might agree. But seeing all matches - practice, qualifications, and eliminations - I could probably count all the thrown ringers scored without removing my shoes and socks. I don’t think they were all done by the same person.

At the Wisconsin regional one of our alliance partner’s HP was able to score in the final 5 seconds! Unfortunately, he scored on top of one of our tubes, oh well at least it looked good.

sounds like pretty much all of the practice rounds at LA

I saw A LOT at pittsburgh during the practices, but as HP, I never tried during the matches that counted, because if you ring the light, it’s a DQ. I think.

At GLR in the eliminations, a human player tossed a ring as a last effort towards the end of the match, Scored on the TOP Row, AND COMPLETED A ROW OF THREE VERTICALLY!!!

I went nuts, as did the whole arena. Unfortunately, that alliance lost the match.

SOmetimes, your best isnt good enough…

ring toss? 612 is so there, although it’s more time effective if you just give us that golden inner tube :stuck_out_tongue:

i dont remember the team number but they were at the wisconsin regional. they had mecanum drive. they scored ringers rather well. and their human player had skillZ with a capital z(amazing shots, everyone hit the rack i believe.).

i think she was wearing a ninja headband dealie from naruto on elimination day.

she had this technique where she bent forward and threw it in a arc around her right side and ended up sorta turned a little to her right side when she was done.

wow

i was really impressed.

I think it was our blue alliance’s 2182 Human Player threw one in back to back matches during the Bayou Semi’s.

This one bounced off the floor off a robot and then onto a low spider leg…

Those semi’s were so cool.

haha, our HP is actually the highest scorer on our team!:stuck_out_tongue:

(our manip. wasnt working for the qualifying matches at LA, and we didnt get it fixed until after we could use it!..)

2047’s beautiful human player Valkyrie scored two ringers in different matches at the Wisconsin regional, and consistently made it very close to the hooks in every match.

at FLR there were a couple instances of people getting the ringers on by throwing them. Unfortunately it wasn’t ever enough to win the match, but it was definitely surprising when it happened!

As far as I know, our human player is the only one to score a ringer at the NJ regional.

VCU had a few guys and gals get a few on. Less than 10 total but it was a beautiful sight to watch it sail and then land gently.

In FLR, the Human Player from 250 was AMAZING! Our human players were envious of his ability to throw ringers onto the rack. His throws made the difference between winning and losing a match.

During one of the qualifying rounds in LA reg, our human player was able to throw a spoiler onto onto the rack. Everyone cheered like crazy even though it didnt really affect the end game score.

I put one on during the practice rounds at GLR and had 1 that fell off in our final Qualification match. It’s Definately not easy, and I was horrible when practicing on the practice field because of the low ceiling. Our team is at a great disadvantage as we are in a rotation for HP and we usually either have an ok HP, a horrible HP, or a misguided (by our drive team) HP. Our GLR elim. HP wasn’t that good and I was the only HP that practiced.

Sorry but I had to (graciously) vent my disappointment somewhere.

Good Luck

We’re leaving for peachtree tomorrow…

We’ve been practicing…it seems we hit it more when the arm is moving…
Some people in the wisconsin regional videos were hitting it some…

at wisconsin it was one of our alliances human players in the semis that broke a row of 5 by double ringing the middle one we won by two points so one more ringer from the other team would have lost it it was scary.

We were at the Finger Lakes Regional and was wondering if you remembered the match numbers, i would love to watch those, because I only got to watch the Final Matches.

In one of our earlier matches, we were on an alliance with no scoring robots. We played defense against the opposing alliance the entire time, but they still managed to score one ringer.

Our human player threw a ringer onto the rack, turning what would have been a loss into a tie.
