Who has their 2003 robot complete? If not the entire bot, then the main base.
I think he is talking about actual this years robot (made in 2003). not last years robot pretending to be this years robot.

i doubt that with just student work people can finish by this point in time (considering it’s only been 3 days since we got the kit). Maybe if the post stayed around long enough people will start posting what they have

We haven’t even received our kit of parts yet! FIRST said they sent them out Friday and Monday. Anyone else in this boat? I thought they were going to get here on Monday. Not a good way to start.

hate to say this but this isn’t a race to see who builds their robot the fastest. 
mainly how well u can build a robot with the help of many people, whatever funds is applicable to the team to build a robot and to build one with the part given to us by FIRST and all its surrounding sponsors.

If your robot is .37 kilos, doesn’t that mean it weighs less than 1 pound?
i agree with Clark Gilbert there is no way they can be done
its impossible
actually, he said that they are .37 kilos under, implying that he weighed .37 kilos UNDER 130 lbs. This would make him less than a lb under 130 lbs. Quite possible. (except for the whole less than a week thing)

I think it is definately possible. I recall that one team, during an unofficial match, made a box out of wood and random wires with a processor and a light on it in the course of less than an hour. Now imagine a whole week! This robot could be outfitted with random pieces of metal making it weigh alot. I can make a big piece of metal with a light onit in a bout 10 minutes.
thats right the shoe box sit in the corner and get 10 points bot!!! that was in richmond. minimum requirements. the entire point was to be in their first matches until they could get their real robot underweight. I think.
