Will swapping 2x1 to 1x1 on a swerve drive break somethin g

Our team is wondering if switching the 2x1 metal that the MK4 i swerve drive modules are held together by to 1x1 would do anything bad. Are there any structural failures that would happen to the module itself, rather than losing the integrity of the thickness of the 2x1? We also plan to shorten the aluminum posts to compensate for the shorter width. The reason for us doing this is to be able to drive onto the charge station without scraping the modules against it.

What’s stopping you from driving onto the charging station with 2x1?

there was a video of someone with the same module, and they couldn’t drive onto it at a slow speed when it was level, so instead, they just floored it and jumped to the top.

You have almost the same limitation caused by the bumper zone rule, whether the frame is 2x1 or 1x2. (this is a Mk4i I’m talking about. Other modules may differ).
