Will the control panel be lubricated?

Lead mentor asked this today for the sake of building but it might be useful to know for strategy as well.

The specified lazy susan bearing has friction modifiers already, so I doubt it.

The lazy susan behaves much better under a load than right out of the box. Even our plywood trench and control panel spins very smooth.

If you do lubricate-- probably ought to use a light oil and not a grease, so as not to trap dirt.

Why we can’t use hydraulics.
Don’t mess with the carpet.
It needs to last for at least 6 events, if not more.

I don’t think there will be any lubrication as it won’t be used so much.
