Wind River FIRST Menu Missing

I have a problem. I installed WindRiver from the 2013 DVDs, and then installed the workbench update from FIRST Forge. I have a robot project, it builds, properly runs/debugs on the cRIO. I was looking through the tutorials, I came across the fact that there should be a “FIRST” menu between “Run” and “Window”. No such window exists on my machine, and thus I can’t deploy code as startup to our cRIO.

It seems like all of the files got copied by the workbench update installer, but something didn’t get installed properly. As I said, all of WPIlib is present, and all of the project templates are present. What’d I do wrong?

I’m on Windows 8 Pro 64-bit, if it helps.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I’ve seen people complain of the missing menu and then later report that it appears properly after a reboot. Did you try that?

Yep, I have. It’s been about a week since I installed all of the tools, and when I did I went with the full meal deal (full LabVIEW + WindRiver + FRC Utils). I’ve probably rebooted 3 times since, to no avail.

Have you run the 2013 Windriver Update? That was a problem for my team when we switched from Labview to C++.

Did you install all the updates?

Did you install this:

Yep. As I said, I have all of the WPIlib stuff, and robot projects build and deploy properly. Everything works BUT the FIRST menu.
