I am attempting to make a custom CAD file to work with the KOP window motors (model number 262100-3040). I want to make a special spool hub for it, based on a model of the original hub. I have searched online and have been unable to find a model of the hub. Could anyone direct me to a model of the hub? I can’t even find a model number for the hub, only the motor.
Thanks!
I have a Solidworks part that couples the Denso window motor to a hex shaft…is that useful? 3D printed it last year, but it didn’t end up on the bot. It worked, though.
I posted it on Thingiverse:

While I don’t need a coupling, I can make a model of the rest of the hub around the end that connects to the motor. Thank you!
If you are unable to work with the file from thingiverse let me know. I have the same kind of adapter we made for our ball retrieval arm on last years robot. I have the file in STEP and Inventor. It will be easy to remove the hex end and just keep the denso star portion.
Good luck with this. Do remember that PLA is not very strong so make sure you are dealing with the load in a mechanism prior to the adapter. You can try ABS if you able to print with it. We went through a few of these adapters by worlds due to this. Luckily we designed the arm to allow easy access to the adapter and just printed a bunch and changed them out as needed. Not ideal but worked well enough.
Good luck this year!
Aloha
We’ve been noodling at this problem too.
You’re welcome to use anything we’ve got in there. In terms of strength, we’re pretty confident in our ABS 3D-printed denso-to-1"-square-tube connector. We’re still fine-tuning the denso-to-gates-pulleys hub.
