Windows won't automatically download drivers for REV PDH

When connecting to the PDH with a USB cable, windows device manager shows that “REV Hub Device” and “REV Hub firmware upgrade interface” are connected, but they have no drivers downloaded.

I think that’s why no matter what I do or what PDH I try they won’t show up in rhc, unless they’re in recovery mode for some reason, which is how i updated it to the latest firware.

Does anyone know why windows isn’t downloading drivers automatically? Maybe it’s because I’m on school wifi, but our computer doesn’t have any other restrictions because of that that I know of. I tried turning off all the windows security protections in Device Security → Core Isolation, tried updated RHC (it’s updated), tried reinstalling RHC a few times, tried every port on the laptop, nothing has worked so far. Can I manually install the necessary drivers? I’m assuming probably not but I don’t really know where to go from here.

By the way I’m connecting directly because the keep alive timeout led indicator is on on the PDH, so something is wrong with the CAN somehow even though I know pretty much for certain the CAN wire that goes straight from the rio and terminates in the PDH is wired correctly, and the radio wifi turns on, but has no communication with the RIO for some reason (I’ve been trying to fix this for a while too).

It might also be important to know that when connecting over USB to the PDH with the robot off, the status light blinks magenta (keep alive timeout) and every channel blinks red

I don’t know if that’s normal

It seems like there are a lot of electrical issues, can you try it on a clean install of windows or in recovery mode? Also trying it with everything disconnected could be helpful
