We’re trying to install the 2011 Windriver disc, and it’s asking for the LAC. Our disc sleeve (which the CD had fallen out of) is clear plastic with no label or anything on it. Does anyone know where to find the LAC?
Never mind. There was a mis-communication between the two software people.
What was your solution? We are lacking the same code. I’ll try restarting the computer, and I’ll report back.
Forgive me. I read the instructions, and now it works perfectly.
For those who still don’t have it working, you’re supposed to select permanent activation rather than a temporary one. There’s a file named FRC_2011_install.txt and you select that as the file it prompts for. It should work then.
The PDF readme has more information.
Also, if you are installing over an old version of WindRiver [which I initially tried, then went back and uninstalled everything in disgust] you will need to select New Activation Info [not sure of exact name] rather than Current Activation info.
How does one obtain this file?
Do you have to install labview stuff to get it?
It should be in the root of the WindRiver install disc.
Haven’t looked at the disc this year but for last year, you can find the file on:
<drive>:\Distributions\Wind River\FirstRobotics_2010_install.txt
So I assume you should find it at a similar location.
Yes, that’s where it is.
So convenient I didn’t even think to look there. :o
