WinXP Internet Connection Firewall

Sometimes I need to use external port 80 to serve files or images. However, WinXP has its Internet Connection Firewall on as default (right click connection --> advanced). However, you can edit the settings of what ports you wish to allow access to… FTP/Web Server ports are off by default but they can be turned on and edited… however, for people without a static IP address, this requires editing the IP address every single time. Is there a way around this?

Heh, nm, I figured it out - just type in the computer name instead of IP…

Problem was, under My Computer --> Properties, computer name was “yan.” with a period… stupid XP added a period to the end of the name (I was confused but used it anyway) so it didn’t work. Eh, someone can delete this thread if they’d like.
