wire stuck inside VRM

hi guys
during an accident a wire was pulled out very violently, and some copper fibers were left stuck inside…
we can’t pull it out, anyone have an idea about what to do?

Push the button to open it and vacuum it out with a shop vac or blow it out with a shop vac or air compressor

A single strand of a solid wire, (#22) can be formed into a hook that could be used to encourage the broken wire to move to a new home.

R71 allows you to repair a part if you do not tamper with performance. If the wire is really jammed in there, you can take apart the VRM and remove the wire.
This will likely void any warranty and you run the risk of breaking it. So try this as a last resort

Some VERY thin and point tweezers might be able to pull the wire strands out.

You might get lucky if you hold the VRM connector side down with the button pushed in and shake it.

You can also call the manufacturer, CTRE, and ask if they can replace the connector block for you. I called them regarding some broken button on a PCM last year but I don’t recall the price they gave me to do the repair but it wasn’t too bad.
