Hello.
In regards to the rule 5.5.1 T4, that states that teams may not set up their own 802.11a/b/n/ac (2.4GHz or 5GHz) wireless communication (e.g. access points or ad-hoc networks) in the venue, it also specifies that a wireless hot spot created by a cellular device is considered an access point. There is no explicit statement that says we cannot use Bluetooth for sharing information while scouting. Does Bluetooth violate this rule?
I’m pretty sure it’s legal considering many scouting apps (including one that we have used) use Bluetooth to send the data to the ‘captain’ tablet.
