How do we rewire the Nason pressure switch? We are concerned ours may be broken, is there a way to test if they are?
Do you want to repair the switch internally, [strike]or do you want to connect it (per FRC rules) to control a compressor[/strike]?
Edit: do you have an electrical meter, a compressor, pressure relief valve, pressure vent plug valve, air storage tank, and pressure gage? You can plumb the compressor, relief valve, pressure vent plug valve, tank, pressure gage, and pressure switch together (as they would be in an FRC robot), connect the pressure switch electrical terminals to the meter, set the meter to read Ohms (or just continuity – the BEEP function is useful for this kind of test), and then power the compressor (using an FRC battery, 20A breaker, and appropriately rated switch) and watch the pressure gage reading rise. At low pressures the electrical meter should read a very low resistance value, or BEEP if you are using the continuity test setting. After the pressure reaches about 115 PSI, the meter should read very high resistance or give no BEEP if you are using the continuity test setting. Next, release some air (slowly) using the pressure vent plug valve and note the gage reading when the meter reading returns to low resistance, or the BEEP returns if you are using the continuity test setting. This should occur when the pressure falls below about 95 PSI.
