Wisconsin FRC Updates for 2025 Season

Hello,

We are getting closer to Kickoff, which means that I personally am delivering a message that may sound like a broken record: A new year, a new game. And for Wisconsin, that means that changes have been made. First, happy trails to teams 6823 and 9535, which means I will have to update my list of dead FRC teams (again). 9535 was somewhat surprising, given that they were only around for 1 (technically 3) seasons.
With Wisconsin 1 season away from moving to a district model, the District Championship location is still up for grabs. My personal speculations are that it will be at the state fairgrounds, Fiserv Forum, or the arena across the street from Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
Not to be outdone, there are five rookies entering, with a shocking return: 1220, the former nameless team that invented the Robot in 3 Weeks, is becoming a sister team of 1732. I have worked with 1732 before I joined 8531, having been to one of their summer camps. Nevertheless, here are those rookies:

10264 STORM from Menomonie,
10287 Milwaukee City RC,
10430 West Bend,
10522 Sun Prairie Robotics, and
10553 Orange Overdrive.

I feel like you missed something really big thats new to Wisconsin. OUR THIRD REGIONAL. Phantom Lakes week 5 hosted by 930 the Mukwonago Bears. There are still 7 slots for a total team capacity of 42. As our two other regionals are full this is the only chance for any outer state teams to play in Wisconsin.

Thank you! I missed that initially, and the thing is, Seven Rivers has 51 teams going there (including us), but Mukwonago’s gym does have the capacity, having team 930 host an event in the summer that we considered, but did not get enough interest.
