Does anyone know what’s going on with the Woodie Flowers nominations?
TL;DR It’ll happen.
Has anyone from an event that has been suspended been informed that they won yet?
PCH has announced they are going to announce the PCH District Woodies Flower and District Chairmans on 4/29
Similarly, FIRST North Carolina is holding theirs on the evening of April 27. All the districts are handling it on their own, while I don’t think FIRST has announced how they will do it for regionals.
I suspect that, even if individuals were informed, FIRST would ask them to keep it quiet until an official announcement is made, likely on some sort of webcast celebration. WFFA, DL Finalists, and Chairman’s Finalists are big awards - I don’t think an email or blog post would be the right way to announce them. It’s also likely that FIRST may need some additional information or wavers signed from the award winners to include them in such a celebration, or coordination to get them included in the stream of the celebration.
This is uncharted territory for all of us, I imagine FIRST is still scrambling to get everything planned.

Coordination, yes. But can a team nominate a WFFA that isn’t registered through FIRST’s system (which by definition includes agreeing to the standard event waiver)? I know we couldn’t nominate Dean’s List students that weren’t registered through the website (which, same).
True, but I don’t know if the standard event waiver would cover a non-standard event. Just one of the many questions FIRST would need to look into

According to a twitter post from the HQ FRC folks it sounds like Woodie Flowers awards will happen during the May 2 showcase event.
