World Rankings

I am not sure if I missed it but did anyone post the world rankings from 2017 yet?

Rankings according to what metric?

In pervious years there has been an excel spreadsheet with rankings around the world I believe by OPRs.

General consensus, final score OPR is a poor metric of overall team performance this year.

But here it is.

Weeks 1 thru 9 based on qual matches only; the usual caveats apply about DQ, surrogates, etc; based on raw data retrieved via TBA API.

I agree; however, OPR percentile rank does track pretty well vs. expert consensus top 25 (source: Looking Forward).

Thank you very much

Has Caleb Sykes posted an overall ELO anywhere?

Edit: Thanks for posting the link below

End of season Elo values can be found in the “seed values” sheet in the most recent update to the 4536 scouting database.

Has Looking Forward officially posted a complete top 25 yet? Last I saw, their list was 2 shy of 25, with strong but unofficial hints for remaining two.

I just plugged in the unofficial hints. I have not seen an official post from LF.

I thought he was looking for the 2017 Version of Jim Zondags championship history white paper linked below that has a world ranking based on championship outcomes.

I would guess this won’t be up until the Festival of Champions has happened to finalize everything.

I am planning on updating this sheet with 2017 results. I have to make a few updates to deal with dual CMP. I was planning to publish after FOC.

Or do you mean based on the district points, like these: https://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127470
I have no intention to continue doing those, but TBA calculates district points for each event (including regionals), so it wouldn’t be hard for someone to take that data and do a world ranking.

From what I can tell, that feature seems to have disappeared from the site, at least. This link would have brought me to the district points of CIR a few months ago, but now it seems to do nothing.

Maybe that’s what he had in mind, but it’s not what he said:

There may be an error in this data, as 1741 (not affiliated, just the first team that came to mind) does not show up where they are supposed to be in the 110 range.

Supposed to be, according to whom?

TBA:

Please read the title of the thread and all the posts.

The list I posted was World OPR, not OPR for one event.

My bad. Shoulda asked this before. Is it avg. OPR?
