Wrap Up Party!

Hmm, seems our drivers could have gone to the prom after all.

[edit] Shark Byte: Was your opinion really all that much weightier expressed in Arial Black?

Oh man who watched hypnomania and thought it was like the funniest thing ever? (And to any of you who where in the show do you remember yet lol.) It kept my interest. And thats good for me. The whole thing was a awsome success. I liked how close it was as well. I actually stayed the entire time, i dont think that i have ever stayed at the wrap party the entire time.

The wrap up party was great…I spent the time hanging out with some friends i get to see once a year (if that), some friends i met for the first time in person and some old friends…oh and to top things off, I put Big Mike in a headlock, and kept him on the ground…the best part is that he couldnt break it…

I found away to defeat the powerful big mike

And remember, I beat you up also :stuck_out_tongue:
I defeated u!

The wrap up party was awesome, even though I didn’t do any of the games. I was with some amazing people instead

So I guess if this is like the finals, then Meli W. is the King of the Ring huh??
Hehehehehe Big Mike and DJ got owned!!

i got hypnotized, and actually i do remember most things right now… it was hilarious… even though im about to be blackmailed if i do anything now… so i gotta be really careful ;/ although, the party couldve been longer, it was still fun…after being hypnotized, i DID get the best sleep ever… it was nice… ;D the fountain was awesome… we managed to get our administrator into the fountain and he got soaked as well as most of the team… i didnt get to play much of the games cept i boxed, and i knocked one of my team members out on the ground… ;D

That was us! That water was so cold! haha. But it was so worth it. I have always wanted to run through one of those fountains. It sure was pretty when night fell and it was lit up with the colored lights. My team and I posed for a bunch of tourists/natives…dont know which but whoever they were, they obviously thought we were crazy enough to be worthy of a picture. Either that or they thought we were just so good looking! hehe.

hahaha yeah… Some of us ran through them and even went swimming in the fountain near by… hahahahah

The fountain was awesome. I ran around with a few friends from other teams and got completely soaked. My mother is just glad I wasn’t wearing white. After I was dripping wet, I had a lot of fun hugging my friend from 360. Many many people who approached me ended up with water spots on their shirts from hugs. I’m still really happy about the entire trip.

Ok, so I have just gotta put this up here. I have never seen so much food in my life. There was a little gathering over in the far area so I went over. And I was like, “Oh my gosh, you sure can tell that there are a lot of boys in this group!” I am still in a state of shock. Does anyone know if they have leftovers? I mean, I would think that they would have had to have…

But the rest of it was really cool. I mean, it was like a free carnival! I was amazed. Way to go FIRST, thanks for putting on such a great event!

I didn’t dislike it, I didn’t play any games, I didn’t eat that much food, but I enjoyed running around spending time with friends. old and new. FIRST is supposed to be about spending time with people anyway, it shouldn’t matter the quality of the party they put on, but rather the quantity of the people gathered to be together.

I don’t consider $90 to be “free,” but I agree that it was a very good party. I especially liked the games, obstacle courses, etc. While not all the teams were there, many or most of them were.

I felt like the 90 dollar pricetag for the people who didnt stay in FIRST hotels was a bit over the top, if it had been reasonable I would have been glad to shell out 30-40 dollars but 90 dollars for that was not worth it

In 2002 I had to pay $30 for the team party in EPCOT. While there were more things to do this year than that year in EPCOT, I agree with the others here that if I were to pay the $90 for the party this year, I would feel overcharged.
And in retrospect, I felt overcharged in 2002 as well, but hey… It was a FIRST party.

For all of you who are likely to pay a charge next year if it exists, hook up with a team or a bunch of teams and ask them if they have any extra wristbands. I know we had at least one that we gave out to a team alumni, who came down seperately and would have not otherwise gotten one.

hook up Ultimate next year! yea, i would have paid 30 in a sec, but 90, psshhh thats crazy

Of course, $90 seems like a lot of money, but for those who haven’t seen this thread, it breaks things down quite nicely, and a lot of good information is given about operating expenses.

It won’t change the $90 tag, but it did make me feel a little better with some insight as to where the money is going.

I thought the party was really great because I was able to hang out with some friends from other teams I meet the night before.

not saying its not going to a good cause at all, its just i didnt plan on spending that kind of money, and it made the difference between me going and not going
