ok, i don’t if the robot parts has hit the fan yet, but how many of u have heard of all this prob. w/ AF?
their ‘racist’ t-shirts?
Do u think it’s ok for them to make these shirts and that the people protesting are just up-tight
or
Do u think that it’s wrong that they would make shirts like this that make fun of Asians (chinees, japanes ect)
and that these people have a right to protest (boycott) that get these shirts off the rack?
(*if u dont know, some of the shirst contain thing like ‘Wong Brothers Laundry Service: Two wongs can make it White’
‘Abercrombie and Fitch Buddha Bash: Get your Buddha on the Floor’ there are others, if u see the pic.s of the shirts, u can see that pic’s to, that are discribed as “The shirts, some of which show smiling men with slanted eyes and conical hats” in news)
i really dont pay any mind to things that dont affect me…i dont wear A/F and i wouldnt ever consider endorsing that garbage…i think theyre clothes are ugly but i wouldnt hav known about this unless u said something
yeah, i know what u mean, hence that title ‘another reason’
but anyway, some of their shirts are funny, like ‘nice rack’ and that stuff (t-shirts for guys)
but if i walk in there (kicking and screeming) i’d start twitching… {i dont care how much my mom whats me to be like everyone else, and ‘pritty girls’… and normal… that is NOT happening}
but i just wanna know 'bout THIS topic…
(*anyone ever seen the Anarchy ‘A’ infornt of the AF name? now those are good shirts;) ((um, in the way of making fun of them…)))
Open minded students everywhere owe a debt of gratitude to Abercrombie and Fitch. Not since Hester Prynne has an embroidered “A” has there been such a clear indication of whom to avoid.

**I can hardly explain my hatred of A&F. Look. You pay $50 for a t-shirt that has a 2-inch by 4-inch logo on it. **
I never understood why you’d pay $50 for a t-shirt that is just an advertisement for the store. And most of them are made to look like they’ve been worn 200 times already.
A&F is stupid. just go with like, old navy, or something else cheap. if someone judges me by my clothes, i don’t think i want to know them anyway. so why should i spend lots of money on clothes, especially when i know at robotics they’ll get destroyed?

K-MART!! They are cool. Personally, i get my stuff form Meijers and Target. They are cheap, and i like them better! I don’t like to look like a walking billboard for other companies that charge you $50/1.5 sq in of their logo!!! LONG LIVE CHEAP CLOTHES!!
I dodge those stores they ussualy pretnd tall fat people don’t exist I don’t even go to the mall i get deppresed to see all the “normal” sized people shop
i can’t stand the fact that people actually pay so much more for clothes so they can give free advertising to a company!! unbelievable…i’m with you all. long live wally world.
but i must brag for a moment…at the memorial day sale i got jessica a pair of ralph lauren jeans ( and just so you know, i would have bought these whether they were rl or not because of the price) for $12!!! and a pair of lei’s for $6!!
I don’t personally wear abercrombie, but y’all need to lighten up. They’re just a brand. An overpriced, perverted brand, but still just a brand. Just cause you don’t wear it, does that make something inherently wrong with it?
Lots of people are saying that by wearing A&F clothes, you’re pretty much being a billboard for 'em. I feel that wearing a particular brand of clothing is more of an expression of who you are, much like listening to a particular band. A particular brand shows what you like, and more often than not, shows your personality. Going back to Firewolf’s origional idea, those shirts aren’t as much ‘advertising’ as some people have made it seem. Sure, they put the word Abercrombie in there, but the point of the shirt is the joke, not the name. There are tons of other brands that the main point of the clothing is to advertise (think of brands such as Southpole, Fubu, etc). Even so, I still wish it was easier to find clothing that wasn’t so branded (but this is corporate america, so fat chance of that happening).
I don’t think it’s that so many people hate A&F. Rather, I think it’s that so many people hate the people who wear A&F. People who wear A&F, atleast in my expierience, are those snotty I-have-nothing-better-to-do-but-spend-$200-on-three-shirts-and-a-pair-of-pants type people. If it wasn’t for the image that is associated with A&F (and if the price wasn’t so ridiculous), I’d wear it.

yesyesyes, verymuch so, its the people that wear it that make it unappeling (ok, there are some that are cool, but i’m stereotyping for a point here)
but the prices are off their rockers, and i mean, socks for $20??
and ag, i’m not gonna start on it all…
but yeah, its the image it has gotten…
but the prices are what REALLY get to me,
my mom offered to buy me a white shirt w/ ‘aero’ or something written on it for like 30 or somethng $$, i’m sure she ment well, but i sware i stood there blinking at the shirt and her for 5 min. then fell onthe floor laughing… they almost had to ascort me out…
but the funnist thing was when i went into one of those snotty stores w/ a snotty girl looking at me, w/ a "like ‘ew’"look (all this happend when i had to go shopping for the nat.s) i turned to my mom,
and very loudly said,
‘hey can we go to walmart?’
haha, that was the best, should have seen their faces…
but anyway, back on topic,
if these type of people already act like they are better then everyone, dont u think those contavertal t-shirts are a bad idea?
like, what i mean is, wouldnt it just make them feel like they can go around insulting everyone (as if they dont already) more then usual?

**If u guys think this about A&F, are your thoughts similar for stores like American Eagle, Hollister, Aeropostale, GAP, Old Navy?
Just wondering. **
i dont know, i can stand GAP and Old Navy, even thought the ‘pritty-skinny-tall-girl’ ads irk me sometimes, but yeah, i’d shop at the GAP and my bro gets stuff from O.N.
but i dont think i’d make them my anthms, if u get what i mean…

i dont buy any of that stuff. i’m very satisfied with buying clothes from kohls or pennys. i don’t need some big brand to help me fit into a group. thats my story and i’m stickin to it.
