…when your school has a delayed opening and your on CD at 6:45 in the morning. (cause thats exactly wat im doing rite now XD)
…when you hope that you don’t have 2 school closings in a week.
…when you have another snow day and you don’t know what to do except for think of what you’re going to do to the minibot tomorrow.
…when your team’s spirit wear consists of sweatshirts, baseball caps, and boxer shorts with your team logo all over it. And you think it’s awesome.
… When you are house hunting and one of the reasons you like a house is because it’s house number is your team number
…when you’ve been involved in FIRST since 3rd grade (FLL and FRC).
…when you’re on the FLL team and the FRC team in the same school year (and yes it is possible, Power Puzzle/Overdrive and Climate Connections/Lunacy)
When you don’t post for two days on CD during build season so people text you to make sure you are OK (from multiple states.)
When you look at a number (the time, house number, street numbers, ect.) and the first thing that comes to mind is what that teams robot was like in previous years. :yikes:
When you want your robot to look cool during autonomous mode while it scores using programming.
:] -when you have a boyfriend/girlfriend on another team and you can’t talk to them for the first two weeks of build in fear of exchanging ideas
Thats awesome. I am jealous. My girlfriend would never join a robotics team!
Dating through build season is hard. My boyfriend is on another team, and between school and build on weekends, it’s hard to find time to see each other. Sharing ideas is the least of my concerns XD
…even the GDC questions your sanity.
…when you see your mentors more than your parents (AND BOTH OF YOUR PARENTS ARE MENTORS!!!)
…you are working on robotics stuff during the school day and nobody really cares (thank you Voc schools!)
-When it’s that time of year again where the back 3 pages of every notebook is full of robot design ideas.
-When its finals week and you’ve spent more time at robotics this week then studying.
-When your glad its finals week because that means its half days, more time for robotics.
haha awww
You see TBA on a schedule and wonder what The Blue Alliance has to do with it.
My relationship is already long distance and him not being involved with robotics at any level puts a strain during build when I spend long hours in the shop where there is no cell service.
This is me, 100%.
When you reach into your pocket to get your wallet and instead pull out a bundle of PWM cables
…when you see your team number (like 8.57) in a physics or chemistry problem and wonder whether the teacher intentionally included it. (The chemistry teacher is a fan and the physics teacher is the school liaison.)
…when everyone on the team is like, “It’s 8:57 pm!” Coincidentally, that is about when our meetings end.
When you hear about the Killer Bees’ new rule of ‘no air showering in the shop’ via their Facebook page, and two days later see it mentioned again in the ‘Quotes’ page on CD…
