You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

…when you try to bring your robot in the newest pokemon game since it is way cooler than all of the monsters.
…when your robot goes the speed of light.
…when you know how many screws, bolts, and nuts your robot has without a moment of thinking.
…when other teams get paranoid because they thing team 1983 clamped them so that they are checking their shirt every 2 minutes. (sorry team 2046, especially Brian had to suffer!)

Well, Brian from 2046 was our (Drive and Pit Crew’s) main target in tacoma. He would immediately turn around and check anything that we could clamp.

During the finals we clamped him and let him know that it was because we picked him, and he wore that clamp for the rest of the finals. After we had won, he came up to a bunch of us and said that he was not planning on giving it back, being clamped with a lucky clamp was a good thing.

So Brian if you read this…I will find you in Atlanta…if you don’t already have that clamp on you…watch out…you will…

You know you’ve overdosed no FIRST when…

…when you get back from your last competition of the season at one am then lie awake in bed all night thinking over and over again, “What am I supposed to do for, like, SIX WHOLE MONTHS!!!” Then the next day you are sluggish and on CD constantly.

When you actually are going through Chief Delphi withdrawal.
When you practically cry cause you think your computer is broken and you can’ t get on Chief Delphi.

When you’re in an airport lounge on the other side of the world, and you logon to catch up on CD, rather than getting that much needed hour or two of sleep.

When you’re polishing your trophy and stroke it and say “That’s right my precious…we’re going to Atlanta”

hehe, too much LOTR this weekend

when your in PLTW on inventor working on a project and start working on parts for your robot

You get on the train to come home from the NYC event- and you realize regionals are over. It was a sad moment. It’s almost the end of my junior year! Wow.

When I spend Sunday night on Chief Delphi!

Good Grief :yikes:

you find your self being creative and gasp thinking, on a regular basis too.

…While you are telling your math teacher the negative powers of two, and when you see 1/1024, you think"1/the kilabytes".
…When you see a bus with the number 1114 on it, and you do a double take.

-When you can ask someone in dead earnest: “Do I have lithium grease on my nose?”

-When you’re modeling the spare swerve module for your college Solidworks project. (Thanks for lending it to me, Aren. :D)

…When your stress reliever is a ziptie with the end cut off so you can pull it straight through. It really works!

That it does
…when you wake up in the middle of the night looking for your safety glasses

…you shed the buttons off your shirt then go and tack then to a cork board in your room.
…are always on Chief Delphi, even in school (like i am now  )
…move out of state and away from your team but still show up every once in a while cuz you love it so much
…you have a sudden urge to dye your hair crazy colors and spike it on a school day

… you spend 3 hours showing off your robot dring school just because you can.

you check ChiefDelphi every other hour and stay on it until your parents yell at you, at which point you do it secretly.

The most exciting day of you week is the day that the Divisions for Atlanta are released.

You know you’ve overdosed on FIRST when…you go to your nail salon and have the first logo painted on your nails! Plus you get a personal state license plate “Jstrmom”

You know you’ve overdosed on FIRST when…
-instead of taking notes in lecture you end up with 5 pages of FIRST and
team logos
-the best part of your week was when they announced the Atlanta divisions
-you check Chief Delphi at least once an hour
-every conversation leads to robotics
-When you have a firefox window just for robotics websites open 24/7
-when you are late to class because you had to Reply to a Thread in Chief
Delphi (already 10 mins late) @_@
